Description The Master’s programme in Structural and Civil engineering at Aalborg University concerns the design and analysis of buildings and infrastructures. This includes land-based structures, offshore installations, harbours, coastal protection as well as structural design of devices for alternative energy. The programme follows the same standards and regulations in both Aalborg and Esbjerg but at the campus in Esbjerg there is a special focus on the following: A close collaboration with the industry Securing realistic and relevant projects by collaborating with the industry Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and modelling techniques Commercial FEA software packages: ANSYS and ABAQUS and PLAXIS Learning about proper design of structural details and mechanical systems Offshore structures design Programming: MatLab, Fortran, Python Experimental methods and LabVIEW Admission Admission to the programme requires a bachelor’s degree in structural and civil engineering or the like.
