The Chemical Engineering programme allows you to focus on research and development as well as planning and implementation of operation and maintenance tasks within chemical and chemically related production. Chemical engineers understand complicated chemical and biochemical processes and are capable of innovative thinking for development of novel techniques and products for a better utilisation of our resources and protection of the environment. In addition to becoming a highly skilled technical expert, you learn to consider the importance of economic and environmental aspects and learn to work and navigate in an international environment. Furthermore, you will get fundamental knowledge concerning the chemical industry, how it is organised, and central processes and unit operations. You learn to develop mathematical models of the processes you are investigating and to apply different types of software for simulation and optimisation.
