The Bachelor in Global Humanities gives you an international and interdisciplinary approach to the study of the humanities. Description The Bachelor in Global Humanities programme at Roskilde University begins with a one year basic section of interdisciplinary studies. The last two years you will specialise in two bachelor subjects. The basic section in Humanities (60 ECTS) gives you an international and interdisciplinary approach to the study of the humanities. By drawing on the disciplines of philosophy, cultural studies, development studies, communication studies, media studies, linguistics, literary studies, history, educational studies and psychology, you explore shifting boundaries, hybrid identities and new cultural formations in the global society. In the last two years (120 ECTS), you will specialise in two bachelor subjects: Communication Studies (int) Cultural Encounters (int) Social Psychology of Everyday Life (int) The Bachelor in Global Humanities gives you an international and interdisciplinary approach to the study of the humanities. Much of our understanding of the humanities has been shaped by the role of the nation in defining how we live and understand the world. Bachelor in Global Humanities explores this but also examine shifting boundaries, hybrid identities and new cultural formations that are emerging as 'global encounters' intensify.
