Electronic music and sound art

The aim of the programme at SDMK is to give the students basic knowledge, competences and skills within electronic music, sound art and entrepreneurship. The programme gives each student a chance to develop his or her individual talent as a performer and entrepreneur and to continue to acquire artistic qualifications.The subject group collaborates on installations, concerts, workshops etc. At the bachelor programme you will acquire the knowledge, skills and competences to work as an electronic musician, composer, sound artist and entrepreneur at the music scene. The programme aims to develop your unique musical talent and your artistic profile.The majority of SDMK students eventually become both musicians, teachers and entrepreneurs, and the bachelor programme therefore includes both artistic, pedagogical and vocational courses. Add to this general technical and aesthetic courses that support the students’ professional development.
