Description Biotechnology combines biology, chemistry, medicine, and engineering sciences for the discovery, development and production of products ranging from fuels and foods over complex proteins to specialised pharmaceuticals and whole organisms with novel abilities. You will learn how to work with cells and microorganisms. By studying cells' properties alone and in relation to their surroundings, you get a scientific basis for altering the cells' properties. You can either follow the general study or specialise in a specific area of the field.
