Marketing Management (not available in English from September 2022) is a academy profession degree programme lasting 2 years, taught in English at International Business Academy (IBA) in EA Kolding, IBA.
This degree covers the areas of marketing, sales, management, communication and economics, and how they interrelate in a business. You get a thoroughgoing knowledge about the various factors affecting sales, and you get an understanding of how to create the best conditions in a business, with customers and suppliers, as well as internally. You will learn to understand challenges and tasks regarding customers, sales and marketing, and you will be able to manage your own assignments very quickly when you get a job. Marketing Management is a 2-year AP degree, which includes mandatory subjects, an area of specialization, a 3-month internship and a final project. What you learn? You learn to plan marketing and sales, enabling you to contribute to the company’s general and international strategy. We also focus on the importance of involving other departments in the company, as well as taking into consideration the world around you, along with legislation, in order to make the best marketing decisions. The degree is comprised of compulsory subjects, elective subjects and an internship. The course concludes with a dissertation project. The compulsory subjects and exams are the same for each pathway. Career opportunities As a marketing manager, you are able to get a wide range of jobs within marketing, sales and communications, in Danish as well as international companies. For example, you can get employment as a marketing assistant, export assistant or purchaser.You can be responsible for sales and customers, or work with communications. In the longer term, you can become head of a marketing department, or a product or key account manager. You can study abroad for a semester or choose from a wide range of short-term international opportunities. Admission To be accepted to the programme, you must have an education equivalent to a Danish upper secondary education, or relevant vocational education is required. Tuition fees Danish, Nordic, EU and EEA students: Free of charge. Other students: DKK 68,000 per year (DKK 34,000 per semester). Students who are exchanged between IBA and other institutions where bilateral exchange agreements exist are exempt from paying study fees to IBA. Further education On successful completion of the Marketing Management degree, you have the opportunity to apply to the 3-semester top-up Bachelor in International Sales and Marketing (full time) or Bachelor in International Business (e-learning) or the 1 year top-up BA (Honours) in International Business at IBA, or use your credits to study further in Denmark or abroad. It is also possible to enter the job market and return later to acquire new skills.
